Pathaan has emerged as the highest grossing Hindi film in the overseas market, and has earned Rs 1005 crore worldwide.
Highest grossing Hindi Film PATHAAN crosses Rs 1005 crore worldwide as of Day 29.
Pathaan was released in India on 25 January 2023, coinciding with Indian Republic Day weekend along with dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu. Even a month a fter its release, after a huge gap of 4 years, Shah Rukh Khan’s most awaited Pathaan continues to dominate all box office discourse. The film earned approximately Rs 1.09 crore on its 29th day in all languages, bringing its total domestic collection to over Rs 518.06 crore.
The Hindi collections of the film stand at Rs 502 crore nett, which puts Pathaan just behind Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’s (Hindi) record
of over Rs 511 crore. Crushing numerous milestones along the way, Pathaan (Hindi) crossed the Rs 500 crore mark on its 28th day, while Baahubali 2 (Hindi) crossed it in 34 days.

Pathaan is the highest-grossing Hindi film in every overseas market. In the US itself, Pathaan has grossed over $16.8 million (Rs 139 crore). Not just this, Pathaan has overtaken the combined US box office total of several Oscar-nominated films, including TAR, Triangle Of Sadness and Women Talking, which stands at $15.4 million.
Shahrukh’s stardom remained unaffected by the release of Kartik Aaryan’s Shehzada, which appears to be drawning at the box office.

The film was made on an estimated production budget of ₹225 crore (US$28 million) with a further ₹15 crore (US$1.9 million) spent on print and advertising.

It is the first Indian film to be shot in Siberia’s Lake Baikal.
CONTROVERSIES:
In the song BESHARAM RANG, The Hindutva activists across the country have raised objections as the attire worn by Deepika was of Saffron colour and She was indulged in closeness with Shahrukh.
After making the three changes in the song ‘Besharam Rang’. The close up shot of buttocks, ‘side pose (partial nudity)’ shots and visuals of sensuous dance movements during the lyrics ‘Bahut tang kiya’ were removed or curtailed and replaced with ‘suitable shots’. The CBFC cut list, however, doesn’t mention how many seconds of shots have been censored. Also it is not clear whether or not the shots of the orange swimsuit, which led to an uproar, have been retained.
After these changes were made, the CBFC granted the censor certificate to the makers of Pathaan on January 2. The film secured a U/A certificate and its length, as mentioned on the certificate, is 2 hours and 26 minutes long.
